Helping Clients Win in Team Building

At Grin Events, our ultimate goal is to help clients win and we do everything in our power to make sure that happens. There are many different ways we can help make your corporate event a smashing success, even if it means you don’t hire us.

Referring To Partners

Our team has been consulting on and hosting company events for a combined 40+ years now, so we know how stressful it can be to find the right partners. When potential clients call us and need services we don’t provide, we love sharing other vendors who do. From beach set-ups to personality assessments to catering, we have a network of trusted professionals who can elevate an event.

We recently employed this tactic when a client asked us about hosting an activity for employees and their spouses the night before we were hosting an in-person Game Show. Since we aren’t a destination management company (DMC) or general event planners, we called on our partner, Events by Tauri, who was able to help our clients get connected to a wine-tasting activity.

We are so interested in client success, we will even refer you to a competitor if they offer something more aligned with what you’re looking for. Of course, we have the most FUN team building experiences, but if you want a DISC assessment or corporate social responsibility event related to solar panels, we know other companies who might be a better fit for you (this time).

We believe this “giver’s gain” mindset results in scenarios where everyone wins. And who doesn’t love winning?

Customization Options

Also related to client success is being able to execute events that are highly customized to your team, department, company, or even industry.

For example, we hosted an in-person Game Show for the UCLA Alumni Network of San Diego and USC Young Alumni Association of San Diego during “Rivalry Week.” Since these are people passionate about their schools, we created custom questions for every game show related to UCLA and USC alumni, athletics, campus buildings, fight songs, and more. We can do this level of customization for any client!

We had another client who asked if we could do branded games for a Leisure Games event, so we worked with partners who could help customize our outdoor games including Cornhole, Connect Four, and Bucket Ball. It helped the employees feel extra special to be playing games with their company’s logo on it.

Our Secret Menu

While we often talk about our In-N-Out model for team building activities – that is, we purposefully don’t offer a million different types of corporate events because we don’t think you can be excellent at all of them – we do have a “secret menu” similar to the fast food giant.

In case you didn’t know, In-N-Out offers food not listed on their menu such as 4×4’s, grilled cheese, and animal-style French fries. Similarly, we have a few event types we don’t promote as openly as others. For example, in addition to the main four games we offer as part of our Game Show (in-person or virtual), we have Grin Events versions of Win, Lose, or Draw, Hollywood Game Night, and America’s Got Talent. (Wondering what these are? Just ask our team to find out!)

Instead, we focus on a few team building events we know we can execute really well (after all, Excellence is one of our values).

Your Smiles = Our Success

So to recap, we aren’t joking when we say we want to see our clients smile! We feel successful when our clients leave our events happy and teams leave more connected.

If your team could use smiles and connection (what we call Team Connecting), we would love to help, whether we host an event for you or simply consult to make your event a success.
